Let’s start with Strategy #1 – “Me” Time

What is “ME” time?  Time spent doing something you enjoy each day.  We cannot take care of others until we first learn to take care of ourselves.

You may be chuckling and saying “yeah right” where would I find that time.  You need to make that time even if for only 15 to 30 minutes.  When you take this time for yourself will find you have more energy and are more productive each day. You will begin to enjoy life more and be more engaged with family and friends. Your kids will love you even more.
Easier said than done. Here are three tips to help – give it a try:

  1. Think about what you enjoy doing – many busy women have forgotten. Think back, what did you enjoy doing a few years ago; reading, crafts, hiking; anything goes as long as you enjoy it.
  2. For the next 7 days take 15 to 30 minutes each day doing something you love.
  3. After 7 days, think about how it made you feel.

I challenge you to give it a try; I promise you will reap the benefits. Remember, life was meant to be enjoyed not tolerated.
